Frame a mirror in just a few steps!

Find yourself with an old mirror and would like to change it? Why buy a new one? If have a mirror that is in good shape, there shouldn't be a need to replace it. You can change the look of it, by simply adding a few things to it. You can frame a mirror and give it a special look of your own. First get some molding you like. It can be simple or sophisticated. I picked one that had a few details to it since I was going to "age" it. The details wouldn't be very clear in the end. Pick a color you want. I had accents in pewter in my bathroom, so I decided to go with silver but you can also apply a gold finish. After I cut the molding to fit my mirror, I spray painted them and after they were dry, I applied this aging product that you can buy in your hardware store. If you read any of my other projects, I also used it to age my chandellier. It works very good! You just need to sponge the product at random and let it dry. When the drying is done, use some liquid nails to stick the molding to the mirror and you will end up with an antique look on a new self-framed mirror.
