If you have been looking around for a hanging pot rack, you know how expensive they can be. After searching high and low for a particular pot rack I liked, I decided I was not going to pay so much for one. I thought about making one of my own to display my copper collection. Not only was I not going to spend outrageous amounts of money for it, but also I would make it unique.
It took me less than an hour to put it together, and luckily I had most materials handy at home. First I found a wrought iron wall decoration that I liked. It fit perfect with my decor and it also provided me with a lot of space to hang hooks on - which I also made myself. First of all, I found the right place for a ceiling hook. Then I cut some chain (you will have to see how high your ceiling is and how high you would like the rack to be). I had some brown chain left over from another project and it worked wonderful for this new one. After I had three pieces of same length chain, I found three places on the wall decoration, to hook them onto. After that was done, I put all three ends of the chain together on the ceiling hook, and after I made some copper hooks - with copper wiring bought in the local hardware store - I hanged my copper pieces.
Easy and inexpensive to make and looks beautiful in my kitchen!
